| Overview of Holiday Oceanview Marina
The marina location is 07°11.83'N 125°42.63'E. It is far enough south that it is completely out of the Typhoon Belt in the Western Pacific.
There is an international airport in Davao, which is only a few minutes' taxi ride from the ferry terminal to Samal. There are many resorts and places to stay on Samal, which is a vacation island for the people of Davao.
Challenger is stored on a heavy-duty steel cradle, on a concrete pad. The current marina storage cost is $340 USD per month. In-water storage is possible, and is slightly less.
The marina provides a free shuttle from the Marina to the Ferry Terminal 3 times a day, plus free passage on the ferry. From the ferry landing on the marina side, several malls and large grocery stores are within a $2-3 taxi ride, or a 25 cent jeepney ride. Twice a month, the marina also provides an escorted shopping trip by van into two major provisioning centers in Davao.
